Management

Greg Fenton – Chief Executive

Greg joined Dundee FC Community Trust in September 2019 as Community Trust Manager, in 2022 Greg was named Chief Executive. A graduate of Dundee University, Greg holds a degree with honours in Community Learning and development (Community Education) and had placements at Kick-it Kick-Off and the Web Project as part of his studies.  Prior to joining the Trust, Greg worked within the Youth Justice sector and worked alongside Education, Social Work, Police Scotland and third-sector organisations across Tayside. Greg is also the General Manager of Dundee Football Club.

Greg won CEO of the year in 2023.

Laura Costello – Community Manager

Laura is a graduate of Abertay University with a degree with honours in Physical Activity and Health her dissertation focuses on the wellbeing provision within Scottish football academies.  Over the past decade Laura has gained a wealth of knowledge in the role physical activity plays in improving people’s physical, mental, social and emotional wellbeing as well as an understanding of the barriers people experience in becoming physically active within their own communities. Laura has extensive experience working with a variety of people within Dundee communities, ranging from working with young people to help improve school engagement and delivering various programmes such as Football Fans in Training, women’s wellbeing groups and women’s recreational football. Prior to joining the Trust, Laura worked within health and wellbeing and physical activity in various capacities, including assisting in the delivery of the Mental Awareness Course run by the SPFL Trust, working as a Behaviour Change Practitioner with the Scottish Association for Mental Health and as a Health and Wellbeing Co-ordinator.

Micheil Russell Smith – Head of Girls Pathway 

Micheil is from the Isle of Lewis on the West Coast of Scotland and has a degree in Sport Science & Coaching from the University of Strathclyde and his currently working on his UEFA C Licence. He has over 10 years of football coaching experience, working with children and young people in the UK, the United States and France. His most recent position was Sports Development Officer at Spòrsnis Community Centre in Ness, Isle of Lewis. Developing and running sports clubs and activities for all ages and advancing the local football for all children and young people. Micheil can be contacted via [email protected]
